About Treatment!

Key Benefits

Removes unwanted DPNs and skin tags, improves skin texture, reduces irritation from friction, prevents further growth, and enhances skin appearance with minimal discomfort and scarring.

Areas That Can Be Treated

Common treatment areas include the face, neck, underarms, eyelids, chest, groin, and other skin-fold areas where DPNs and skin tags frequently develop.

Here are some skin growths and conditions that can potentially be treated or removed:

1. Skin Tags - Small, benign growths that hang from the skin.

2. DPNs (Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra) - Small, dark brown or black benign growths typically found on the cheeks and forehead, common in people with darker skin tones.

3. Moles - Certain types of moles can be removed, but care must be taken to ensure they are non-cancerous.

4. Seborrheic Keratosis - Non-cancerous, wart-like growths that can vary in color and texture.

5. Cherry Angiomas - Small, benign growths composed of tiny blood vessels, usually red or purple in color.

6. Fibromas - Non-cancerous tumors made of fibrous or connective tissue.

7. Lentigines - Commonly referred to as age spots or liver spots, these are flat, brown marks on the skin.

8. Milia - Small, white cysts that typically appear on the face, especially around the eyes, caused by trapped keratin beneath the skin.

What Technique Is Used?

We use a technique called cauterization. Cauterizing skin growths is a safe and effective procedure we use to remove or destroy abnormal tissue, such as skin tags, moles, and other growths. Here’s a simple breakdown of what you can expect during the process:

  • 1- Before the Procedure

We’ll start by cleaning the area around the skin growth. To help keep you comfortable, we may apply a topical anesthetic to minimize any discomfort during the treatment.

  • 2- How It Works?

We use a cautery device, which generates heat through electrical energy. This heat creates a small electrical arc that targets the skin growth directly. The thermal effect effectively vaporizes the tissue of the growth while protecting the surrounding skin.

  • 3- What Happens During Treatment?

As we apply the heat, the cells of the skin growth are destroyed, causing it to shrink or fall off. This method allows us to precisely treat multiple growths without affecting the nearby healthy skin.

  • 4- After The Procedure

Once the treatment is complete, you may notice some redness, swelling, or scabbing in the treated area. This is a normal part of the healing process. We’ll provide you with specific aftercare instructions to help promote healing and reduce the risk of infection.

Benefits of Cauterization

- Minimally Invasive: This procedure is less invasive than traditional surgery, which means quicker recovery times for you.

- Precision: Our technique allows us to precisely target the growths, preserving surrounding healthy tissue.

- Reduced Scarring: Since we focus on the growth itself, there’s a lower risk of scarring compared to other methods.

- Single Session Treatment: We strive to remove all targeted growths in one session, which not only lowers your treatment costs but also saves you from having to come back for multiple visits.

  • Skin Growth Removal Pricing Clarified

Your quote for DPN/skin tag and other skin growth removal is determined by the number of growths, their type, size, and the complexity of your specific case, not the actual time we spend. The estimated time provided is simply to help you plan your day and schedule your appointment accordingly. If you request treatment for multiple areas, we will give you a separate quote and an estimated time for each area, as if we were treating them individually. However, if you choose to have multiple areas treated during a single appointment, the total time for the procedure will be significantly shorter because we can numb all the areas at the same time. Please understand that even if your appointment finishes earlier than the initially estimated total time, the price you were quoted will not change. This is because your cost is based on the number of growths and the complexity of your case, not the duration of the treatment itself.

  • Consultation Photos Submission Guidelines

Before scheduling your appointment, you need to have a consultation with us. For virtual consultations, please follow these steps carefully:

To help us assess your case accurately, please send us clear, well-lit photos without makeup or filters of all the areas you'd like to address. For each area, we need at least three photos: one from the right, one from the left, and one from the front. For example, if you want to address your face and neck, please send at least six photos (three of your face and three of your neck).

The initial quote you receive will be based entirely on the images you submit. Please note that if the photos do not accurately represent your situation, and an in-person assessment uncovers discrepancies (such as due to makeup, poor lighting, insufficient photos, blurry images, or not showing the full extent of the issue), we may need to revise your quote to reflect the actual treatment required. Alternatively, we may only be able to address the concerns that were clearly visible in your submitted photos. Therefore, it’s important to ensure your photos are clear and representative.

Here is a list of pre-procedure instructions for clients who will be doing the DPN/Skin tag removal treatment:

Medical History: Inform your provider of any medical conditions, allergies, or medications you are currently taking, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Certain medications, like blood thinners (e.g., aspirin, warfarin, ibuprofen, naproxen, etc.), may need to be avoided for 24-48 hours prior to the procedure as they can increase the risk of bleeding. Always consult with your prescribing physician before stopping any medication.

Current Medications: Please inform your provider immediately if you are currently taking antibiotics or systemic steroids. It is generally advisable to cancel or reschedule your appointment until you have been cleared by your prescribing physician. These medications can affect your skin's healing process and increase the risk of complications.

Skin Condition: Reschedule your appointment if you currently have any active skin breakouts, infections, rashes, or blisters in the treatment area. The procedure should not be performed on compromised skin. Wait until your skin has fully healed before rescheduling.

Skin Sensitivity: Inform your provider if you have a history of keloid scarring, excessive skin sensitivity, or any other skin conditions.

Sun Exposure: Avoid excessive sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanning products on the treatment area for at least 2 weeks prior to your appointment. Sunburned skin is more sensitive and may increase the risk of complications.

Avoid Irritating Products: Do not use harsh exfoliants, retinoids, or other potentially irritating skincare products on the treatment area for at least 3-5 days before your appointment.

No Makeup or Lotions: Come to your appointment with clean skin. Do not apply makeup, lotions, creams, or perfumes to the treatment area on the day of your procedure.

Avoid Waxing, Plucking, or Shaving: Avoid waxing, plucking, or shaving the treatment area for at least 2-3 days before your appointment.

Avoid Alcohol: Refrain from consuming alcohol for at least 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Alcohol can thin the blood and increase the risk of bleeding during and after the procedure.

Avoid Caffeine: Avoid consuming caffeine-containing beverages (coffee, tea, energy drinks) for at least 24-48 hours before your appointment. Caffeine can increase heart rate and blood pressure, potentially leading to increased sensitivity or discomfort during the procedure.

Hydration: Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment to ensure your skin is well-hydrated.

Pain Management (if applicable): Discuss pain management options with your provider. While the procedure is generally well-tolerated, some individuals may experience mild discomfort. If recommended, you may take over-the-counter pain relievers like acetaminophen (Tylenol) about an hour before your appointment. Avoid aspirin or ibuprofen as they can thin the blood.

Comfortable Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy access to the treatment area.
